Starting March 26th, Corneille headlines CORNEILLE REMIXE, a new serie of six musical shows devoted to Quebec music and presented exclusively on WhiteBox Play. From March 26th to June 4th, meet Corneille and his guests every other Friday evening, live at 7 p.m.
CORNEILLE REMIXE is an original idea by Corneille, which had been on the back of his mind for quite some time now. Based at the well-known Piccolo Studios in Montreal, the host – also author, composer, arranger, director and singer! – will welcome Laurence Nerbonne, Marie-Mai, 2Frères, Émile Bilodeau, Les Sœurs Boulay and Marc Dupré. For each show, Corneille will offer them a personal urban rearrangement of two of their greatest hits in addition to discussing the culture of music with his guests. Rearranged with the help of his musical director Alexandre Paquette, tinged with soul and rhythm & blues, afro beat and afro-caribbean music the artists will hear for the very first time the new rendition of their songs then they will be performing this new version accompanied by CORNEILLE REMIXE’s eight-musician band. Each show will highlight an emerging artist, to discover, who will perform one of their songs and join in on the discussion.
